How to Enter Tibet from Kathmandu

There are two ways to travel to Tibet from Kathmandu: by airplane and by overland.

Getting to Tibet from Kathmandu by Nonstop Flight

There are direct flights from Kathmandu to Lhasa. The flight takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. This is the only international flight that goes directly to Lhasa. Flights operate every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
