The best time to visit Coron is during the dry season, from November to May when the weather is sunny and the sea is calm—ideal for island-hopping and diving.

Peak Season (December to April):Best weather but more tourists, so book tours and accommodations in advance.

Off-Peak Season (June to October):Fewer crowds, but there’s a chance of rain and typhoons.

If you want great weather without large crowds, visiting in November or early May is a good option.

3. How do I get to Coron?

There are two main ways to reach Coron:

By Air: The fastest way is to fly to Francisco B. Reyes Airport (Busuanga Airport)from Manila, Cebu, or Clark. The flight takes about 1 hour from Manila.

By Ferry: You can take a ferry from Manila to Coronvia 2GO Travel, which takes 11-14 hours. There are also ferries connecting Coron and El Nido, which take about 4-5 hours.

Once you arrive at Busuanga Airport, it's a 30-40 minute van ride to Coron town, where most hotels and tours are located.

4. How many days should I spend in Coron?

3-4 Days: Enjoy a well-rounded adventure with at least two island-hopping tours, such as Tour A (lagoons & reefs) and Reef & Wrecks Tour (shipwreck snorkeling & diving).

5+ Days: Explore deeper and at a relaxed pace with Tour A, Reef & Wrecks, and Island Escapade Tour, plus the Coron Town Tour (half-day) for a cultural touch.

1 Day: Get a quick but complete experience with the Super Ultimate Tour, covering top spots like Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, and Skeleton Wreck.

5. Can I do a day trip from Coron to El Nido?

No, Coron and El Nido are not close enough for a day trip. The ferry between them takes 4-5 hours. If you want to visit both destinations, it’s best to spend at least 3 days in each.

6. Should I book tours in advance?

Yes, especially during peak season (December–April). Popular island-hopping tours sell out quickly, so booking ahead ensures availability and better prices.

Wow this tour was amazing X100..

Wow this tour was amazing X100... Vincent at Asia Odyssey Travel put together just a huge tour for me like a huge puzzle seeing the Islands in the Philippines. I did have to pay double because I was single but I thought "Oh this is going to be with a group so the base price was good, so double wasn't horrible" Then I went on the tour. Every place was like a separate tour where I joined daily some time two of three times daily different groups and saw tons of things I was going from dawn until dusk every day. I was alone many times too in like a private tour. OMGosh I mean I saw so much, I did everything. I was cared for and about every where I went like one of my family member had set me up for each day of the tour. I always had an inside contact, and a ride, and good place to stay. Some of my tour guides were the best I have ever had "Mrs. Eden in Puerta Princesa" I can say this as I have been to over 150 countries and on countless tours. I sometimes feel guiltily privileged on a tour by myself but not on this tour. On this tour I felt like I was getting the inside hook up most everywhere I went, not privileged treatment but rather insider treatment...Some times I had two tour guides the main one for example and local one both just for me...Amazing really, truly amazing...I would recommend Asia Odyssey tours to everyone!!! Asia Odyssey Travel has acquired Philippines Discovery Tours (which was the group that supported our trip)! The entire process was AMAZING!! We went on a 14 day (4 island) trip, so a lot of coordinating! Leo from Asia Odyssey helped me with the initial reservations. As the vacation approached, Leo created group chats on WhatsApp with each Island Tour Coordinator who was my point person for each island. They were AMAZING!!!!!! Communication was superb! Honestly, I can't wait to book another trip with this company! I was traveling with my young daughter so it was really important to have good coordination & communication so I could enjoy this trip! Truly an incredible experience!!!!
