- Kunming Station is an older station, and the facilities inside may be relatively outdated. The passageways can be narrow, so please exercise caution while walking.
- There are fewer escalators in Kunming Station, and more traditional staircases. It is recommended to enter and exit the station from the south square of Kunming Station, where there are escalators, making it easier and more convenient.
Kunming South Railway Station
Kunming South Railway Station is located east of the Dianchi Lake, in the new city center. You can easily reach the old city area of Kunming by taking Line 1 and Line 4 of the subway.
Kunming South Railway Station serves as a transportation hub connecting Kunming with other provinces. High-speed trains to popular Chinese cities, including Guiyang, Guilin, Chengdu, Shanghai, and even Hong Kong, mostly depart from Kunming South Station. Some high-speed trains departure from Dali and heading to other provinces may make stops at either Kunming Station or Kunming South Station.
Lijiang Train Station
Lijiang Railway Station is located to the south of Lijiang City, approximately 7 kilometers away from the south gate of Lijiang Old Town. You can take Bus 18 to directly reach Zhongyi Market in Lijiang Old Town.
