The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a 1,370-year-old World Heritage site, is a quintessential Tang Dynasty landmark. Standing within the tranquil Da Ci'en Temple, this squarish, seven-story structure was built in AD 652 to house Buddhist sutras brought from India by the monk Xuanzang. Since 1974, these 8,000 life-sized clay soldiers have stood guard over the First Emperor’s tomb. Explore Pits 1, 2, and 3 to see thousands of lifelike warriors, horses, and chariots. Despite being 2,000 years old, these clay remain vivid.

In this morning, your local guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel for a memorable trip to Mount Huashan, located 118km away and about 1.5-2 hours' drive.
Explore Mount Huashan, one of Taoism’s five sacred mountains, famous for its steep paths and stunning scenery. Discover its peaks, widely considered the most precipitous in China.
Route 1 (4-5 hours, the most leisure hiking way): the Cable Car - West Peak - South Peak - Plank Road in the Sky - East Peak - Middle Peak - West Peak - Cable Car route
Enjoy a round-trip journey by cable car via the scenic West Peak.
Route 2 (7-9 hours, the most challenging way): the Cable Car - North Peak - Canglongling - Middle Peak - East Peak - Plank Road in the Sky - South Peak - West Peak - Cable Car route
First, take a 20-minute park bus to the North Peak, then ascend via cable car. From the Cloud Terrace Peak platform of North Peak, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire mountain peaks.
Continue hiking along the scenic "Dragon's Back" trail toward Golden Lock Pass, where thousands of red ropes and locks symbolize love and peace. Continue through Middle Peak to reach East Peak. For challenge, brave optional "Plank Road in the Sky."
Later, ascend South Peak. Hike to the scenic West Peak to explore Cuiyun Palace and hear the legend of Chenxiang. Finally, descend via the West Peak Cableway.

From the moment I landed in Guangzhou, everything was well-coordinated. The local guide greeted us at the airport and made us feel welcome right away. We started with classic Cantonese highlights like the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Lychee Bay, and traditional dim sum — a great introduction to southern China’s culture.
The route that followed was impressive. We cruised along the Li River in Guilin, cycled through Yangshuo’s peaceful countryside, and admired the Longji Rice Terraces. In Yunnan, Dali and Lijiang’s old towns were full of character, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. Chengdu was all about pandas and Sichuan food, Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong looked like scenes from a painting, and Chongqing’s mountain city views were unforgettable. This tour was incredible. We were skeptical about combining Vietnam's slow-paced beauty with China's massive scale, but the contrast was brilliant. Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai's towering skyline felt like a time warp! Seeing history at the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors was profoundly moving, while the natural grandeur of the Zhangjiajie mountains was simply unforgettable. The flights and rail connections were perfectly organized, easing any stress for our older family members. Truly an epic expedition guided by real experts.
Seriously the best month of our gap year. We called it the "banana route" because of the way we traveled from the chaos and charm of Vietnam right into the futurism of Shanghai and then into the refined order of Japan (Nara's deer were everything!). The planning done by the team was flawless. We got to see three totally distinct worlds: the temples of Hanoi, the Great Wall of China, and the shrines of Kyoto. All without worrying about Visas or logistics. We want a huge, eye-opening adventure, this is the one.
Our agent Chia is simply the best! She was in contact with us every step of the way from the time we committed to the Beijing - Xian - Chengdu - Lhasa - Shanghai tour. There was absolutely no stress with the entire tour ie. Pick ups, train/ plane tickets, payments. Each time Chia was able to answer any questions that we had almost immediately. The tour itself was great, met some really nice people from different parts of the world. Groups were a maximum of 12 so the guides were always very attentive - in Tibet, we only had 3 left in the group. We have travelled quite extensively but this is the first time we have engaged in a tour and it certainly did not disappoint. Highly recommended!
We have gone to China for an exciting 17-day travel covering 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, something for a lifetime. Trip was a personalized and was well planned, coordinated and executed by Catherine Wang. We were truly amazed by her patience for nearly 2 months to communicate with us, answering our queries and plan this whole trip.
As for the trip, it went well with the pick-up in Beijing and reorganizing the Beijing sites visit when there was the 80 years celebration parade in Tiananmen square. Perfectly done and start with a bang.
We have travelled in places like Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, Chengdu, Dazu-Chongquing, Three Gorges Cruise, Yichang and finally end up in Shanghai. Every place was magnificent specially those we visited.
In every place we have the comfort due to knowledgeable guides and efficient drivers. They played a fantastic role in the whole 17 days of our trip in China.
