Busan is located in southeast of Korean Peninsula. If you have a world map, you will see the Busan falls into 35°10′ north latitude.
To the west, the city hugs the Nakdong River Plain. Head north, here are hills and mountain trails. For the south, the East Sea stretches endlessly.
Its coastline stretches over 200 kilometers.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (海东龙宫寺):
It's the only Buddhist temple in Korea right on the ocean cliffs. Imagine that view! Built way back in the 1300s, it's now a big deal for Buddhists to see Guanyin.
You walk up these stone steps, and they've got all the zodiac signs carved into them. Inside, there's a huge Buddha statue. Then, there's Yongwang Hall. People go there to pray for good luck.
And get this, there's a bridge that takes you to get an amazing view of the whole ocean. You gotta see it.
Gamcheon Culture Village (甘川文化村): From up high, it looks just like Santorini, all those bright, colorful houses stacked together. You wander around and there are murals everywhere, cool art pieces popping up, and you gotta get a pic with the Little Prince. It's an Instagram dream


Jagalchi Fish Market (札嘎其鱼市场): If you're into seafood, this market is your type. It's massive! You'll find every kind of seafood imaginable here, and it's all incredibly FRESH, such as sashimi, octopus that's practically still swimming, and juicy abalone.
Yongdusan Park (龙头山公园): If you want to see Busan from up high, this is where everyone goes. Locals love it. You just hop on up the Busan Tower. You're looking out over the whole city, the harbor with all the boats, and you can even see those little islands way out there.

Gimhae International Airport (PUS) is on Busan's west side, 11.5km from the city centre. 30 minute drive to the city.
The airport has flights to popular places in China, Japan and Southeast Asia. And you can also fly to Jeju Island or other destinations in South Korea.
For travel to other cities, most people take the KTX, the Korea Train Express from Busan Station. It's the main KTX stop here, fast and convenient to Seoul and other cities.

Busan to Seoul Map

Seoul is Busan's northwest side, 325 km from the Busan. To travel to Seoul, we recommend you take KTX, named Korea Train Express. The trip will take 2.5 hours. If you miss KTX, a 4 hours bus is your other choice.

Busan to Gyeongju Map

Gyeongju is Busan's northeast side, 60 km from Busan. To visit Gyeongju, we recommend you travel there by bus. The trip will take 1 hour. KTX is another choice, only takes 30 minutes, but you have to take a 20-minute bus ride to Gyeongju city center.
