Route 2: Hong Kong West Kowloon Station (西九龙站) - North Shenzhen Station (深圳北站) - Dongguan South Station (东莞南站) - Dongguan Station (东莞站) - Guangzhou East Station (广州东站)
Attention:
Route 1 is the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL广深港高铁), which was fully completed and opened in September 2018. This route is faster, taking approximately 1 hour to travel from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, and offers more frequent service, with about 30 trains operating daily. As the main train route connecting Guangzhou and Hong Kong, this line can also directly reach Futian Station in the center of Shenzhen, which the other route does not offer.
Train starting from Hong Kong and destined for Guangzhou South do not always terminate there. Instead, their final destinations can extend to other distant cities in China, such as Chengdu, Kunming, Beijing, and Wuhan. However, trains from Hong Kong to Guangzhou East Station end their journey at Guangzhou East Station.

1. The Vibrant Express (动感号动车组),also known as the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL), operates solely between Guangzhou South and West Kowloon in Hong Kong. As the travel duration on this high-speed rail is relatively short, typically around 50 minutes to 1 hour, the train does not provide a dining car, business class seats, or deluxe class seats. G6582, G6584, G6586, and G6588 are Vibrant Express.
2. The Intelligent Bullet high-speed train (智能复兴号动车组) offers an enhanced passenger experience with a range of upgrades including automated vending machines in the dining car, accessible carriages for passengers with disabilities, high-speed 5G Wi-Fi, and a dedicated quiet carriage for a peaceful journey. G80 and G6502 are Intelligent Fuxing Bullet High-Speed trains.

Departure Station in Hong Kong - West Kowloon Railway Station

It is specifically located at Austin Road West, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. You can conveniently reach the station by taking the MTR to Kowloon Station or Austin Station, or by taxi or bus. It's recommended to arrive at the station at least 45 minutes in advance to collect your tickets and complete the security check. Purchase and Collect Tickets at B1: You can buy your tickets online or from a ticket vending machine at the station.

Baggage Check at B1: Like airports, train stations also have baggage checks. Please note that the Vibrant Express (动感号动车组) has size and weight restrictions for carry-on items. Passengers can carry a maximum of 20 kilograms of luggage, and each item should not exceed a total dimension (length + width + height) of 130 centimeters.
Customs and Immigration at B3: Hong Kong West Kowloon Station has both Hong Kong and Mainland China immigration facilities. You will first exit Hong Kong (by presenting your travel document to the Hong Kong immigration officer) and then enter Mainland China (by presenting your travel document and completed Arrival Card to the Mainland China immigration officer).
Boarding at B4: After clearing customs and immigration, follow the signs to your platform. Large electronic display boards provide information about train departures, including the train number, destination, and departure time.
On the Train: Once on the train, find your seat. Store your luggage in the overhead racks or in designated areas.
Arrival Station in Guangzhou - Guangzhou South Railway Station and Guangzhou East Railway Station
