One Friday evening in November 2022, as the office lights gradually dimmed, I was about to leave work. Suddenly, my computer screen lit up, and an email from Thailand broke the silence of the night.
German tourists, Anna Brehmer and her husband, were vacationing in Thailand when they stumbled upon Bhutan's tourism promotions, deeply captivated by the mysterious country's natural beauty and unique culture. They decided to travel to Bhutan as soon as their Thailand trip ended, but due to the short notice, they couldn't reach their travel agency in Germany and turned to Asia Odyssey Travel instead.
This email gave me a strong sense of urgency - to arrange everything as quickly as possible!

Challenge: Reaching Bhutan's Paro in 120 Hours
Spontaneous travel ideas are often incredibly exciting, and I knew this impromptu plan was very important to the couple.
Despite it being after-hours, I immediately replied to their email, asking about their specific Bhutan travel needs. However, Anna and her husband were out sightseeing in Thailand during the day and didn't reply until the next evening. To avoid disrupting their Thailand itinerary, I worked late into the night for two consecutive days, developing a detailed itinerary and discussing travel details with them repeatedly during their free time between Thailand activities.
I compiled a list of alternative hotels for the Brehmers, detailing the hotel star ratings, room types, ventilation, and review quality. With each email exchange, I could feel their excitement for this trip to the "happiness country" of Bhutan. Their enthusiasm was contagious!
After numerous communications, we finalized the itinerary and successfully scheduled their flight from Bangkok to Paro, Bhutan, five days later.
I told Anna and her husband that their Bhutan adventure would begin in 120 hours, and I would ensure every aspect of their trip went smoothly.
Visas and Hotels Secured, Onward to Bhutan
Once the itinerary was confirmed, my colleagues and I immediately began processing Anna and her husband's Bhutan visas and arranging the specific travel plans. However, due to the very short notice, some of their preferred hotels were fully booked.
To meet their accommodation requirements, I spent evenings communicating with them to find suitable alternatives of the same standard. After multiple rounds of communication, we successfully secured their Bhutan visas, and their satisfactory itinerary and hotel documents were sent out.
Five days later, Anna and her husband flew from Bangkok to Paro, Bhutan, as scheduled, beginning their Bhutan journey. They were deeply moved by Bhutan's natural landscapes and unique culture. They visited the Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery), marveling at the temple perched on a cliffside. At Punakha Dzong, they experienced the depth of Bhutan's religion and history. And in the streets of Thimphu, they felt the simplicity and warmth of the Bhutanese people.

The trip went smoothly, and Anna and her husband raved about Bhutan's beauty and culture. They especially thanked us for arranging such a perfect itinerary for them within 120 hours.
On the day Anna and her husband departed, they sent me a photo from Paro Airport. In the photo, they stood against the backdrop of the Tiger's Nest Monastery cliffs, smiling brightly. The small flowers on Anna's straw hat seemed to be fluttering in the wind, about to take flight, creating a vivid scene.
Anna wrote in the email, "Thank you for making our Bhutan trip so perfect. This trip showed us the beautiful scenery of Bhutan and made us feel your professionalism and meticulous adjustments."
This whirlwind Bhutan adventure created unexpected echoes. I often think back to those nights filled with flight schedules and hotel booking lists, and the satisfaction of helping guests fulfill their sudden desires is something I'll cherish for a long time!
