Brunei's full name is Brunei Darussalam, which means "a state of peace on the sea". It is located between the states of Sarawak and Sabah in Malaysia, covering an area of only 5,765 square kilometers. Thanks to oil extraction, this small country has become one of the richest countries in the world. The magnificent exterior of Brunei’s capital Bandar Seri Begawan reveals the solemnity of Islamic culture. The white sandy beaches and inland swamps of the eastern district of the capital, and the virgin jungles of the Tengburong district show the natural side of Brunei. If we have a deeper understanding of the folk customs here, it is not difficult for us to understand why the people here are so happy. The heartfelt love for the king and the motherland, as well as the pious beliefs, have enabled Brunei people who have no worries about food and clothing to obtain spiritual wealth.
Dry season: March to October
Rainy season: November to February
The best time to visit Brunei is between January and May. The weather is rather dry, but not too hot. Between June and August is the peak tourist season, but the weather in Brunei is incredibly hot, and the holidaying crowds tend to take over the major tourist destinations. September to December is when the rains start, and it will not be possible to travel to some of the more isolated places. However, the climate becomes rather cool throughout the country.
