Asia Odyssey Travel Expert Nicole

It was my first time on a private tour. I usually plan everything on my own, so initially, I was a bit worried that having a guide all the time would be awkward. I couldn't have been more wrong. First of all, we discussed everything and had the entire trip tailored to our preferences. The agent (Nicole) was responsive and easy to communicate with. We loved all our tour guides, but especially Anna with whom we spent 4 days in Shangrila. Everyone (guides and drivers) was professional, always on time, caring, knowledgeable, and easy-going. My partner and I learnt so much about culture, people, customs. I would definitely recommend this travel agency.

Nicole was really amazing, she sent me an itinerary with plenty of pictures and description which help envision what my trip will look like. Also what I love the most about her excellence service is that she is always responding very quickly to all my questions so I can have a stress free trip In all countries I went, I had great tour guides, all friendly and knowledgeable, nice comfortable cars whose drivers drove safely around and all the hotels were great as well as the restaurants we went to where I could try local dishes.

All the admin stuff was done for me so it’s was really great

We went to China for a two week train visit of four places - Shanghai, Huangshan, Xian and Beijing. Amazing !!! The tour was coordinated by Asia Odyssey Travel. Our tours were coordinated remotely by our very proficient and helpful agent, Nicole. She arranged our hotels, train tickets to travel between locations, and a guide with driver in each location. The connection with a local guide made our holiday experience both informative and much more personal. Nicole was responsive to our questions and concerns. She facilitated the purchase of train tickets and booking of hotels which would have been very difficult on our own (we don’t speak Mandarin, and it is hard to arrange financial transactions in China without WeChat Pay or Alipay). We were joined up with different travellers in each location - and enjoyed sharing our experience with them. The Yangtze 2 was a great choice for our river cruise. The cabin was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped, which I appreciated. The staff was incredibly helpful, and their English was excellent, making everything much easier. The cruise itinerary was well-balanced, with time to relax and enjoy the views, but also plenty of fun excursions to local sites.

I was a bit nervous about bringing my two kids on a cruise, but the Yangtze 3 was perfect for families. It’s rare to find luxury and family-friendly service in one package, but this cruise nailed it!

We (couple, aged 56 and 61) did a four night cruise on the Victoria Katarina with Asia Odyssey Travel. Ship was very nice. Cabins pretty good - two single beds, reasonable bathroom with a good strong shower and a small bath. Nice balcony. Ship was decorated very nicely and felt spacious. Staff were amazing and multi talented. Waiters/barmen by day, entertainers by night. Were very accommodating and friendly. Be aware that you will need to climb up/down minimum of 200 steps to get to/from the ship. On arrival your large suitcase will be carried for you by amazing workers who put your case on bamboo poles across their shoulders but you will need to carry your own hand luggage. Steps are steep, not for the unfit or elderly. Scenery along the Yangtze is amazing. We enjoyed the cruise component of our tour. Food on ship was fantastic and lots of it. Drinks very reasonably priced.

excellent in all regards. Great cultural trip, with adventure and education. Good interaction and experience with modern China life, integrated with historical minority ethnic nationalities. Excellent English speaking guides. Superb pre-planning and assistance for hotels and local transportation.
